Christian Counseling

Life is heavy.

The pain of broken relationships, loss, and failures weighs heavily on you. This isn’t the way life was supposed to be.

You can feel the pain and disappointments of life building up inside you like a reservoir.

As a weary traveler, you wander in the desert, uncertain of the path to take or what lies ahead. Even as Christians, it can feel as though we are living in darkness.

Life is painful and has so many unknowns.

You struggle to fight the lies about your identity.

The world says you are the sum of your mistakes and failures.

Something feels wrong with you, like you will never be good enough. You will never measure up.

Trust me – it’s a lie.

Together, we will discover the truth of who you are.

God loves you.

Regardless of your pain and past, you are so loved.

It doesn’t matter where you have been or what you have done. The lies of the world are loud and constant. But together, we will journey toward the truth.

And the truth is that God loves you and wants a personal relationship with you.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” (Romans 8:38-39)

There is nothing wrong with you in God’s eyes.

You are wonderfully made.

The human condition is often messy because we live in a fallen world. But God knows every part of you, and you have been redeemed.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)

Because God made you, you are worthy.

You struggle to feel worthy and can’t seem to find your place in the world.

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7)

God chose you for a purpose.

Not only does God love and accept you, but he has chosen you and has important work for you to do in His Kingdom.

“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you – from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.” (1 Peter 2:9)

In God’s eyes, you are enough.

God requires so little of us. He loves and pursues us regardless of our shortcomings.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Your home is with Christ.

You can’t seem to ‘fit’ in this world and feel like a square peg in a round hole.

As followers of Christ, we know that this is not our home. You are beautiful and belong with Him.

“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called by name. You’re mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)

God will meet you where you are.

But rest assured, he won’t leave you there.

While we are completely loved and accepted, we are always a work in progress. He is faithful.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)

Christian counseling can make life less heavy.

As a Christian counselor, I help clients who strive to follow Christ understand their struggles and lives within God’s plan for their lives.

Christians are not immune to life’s struggles, failures, and even sorrows, but we adhere to a broader view of life – one that goes beyond the boundaries of life on Earth.

Christian Counseling, with the foundation of Biblical principles, offers a way to gain a lasting perspective that can help you endure life’s challenges.

“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.
I’ve called your name. You’re mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place,
it won’t be a dead end –
Because I am God, your personal God,
the Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you:
all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That’s how much you mean to me!
That’s how much I love you!
I’d sell off the whole world to get you back,
trade the creation just for you.”
(Isaiah 43:1-4) (The Message)
